Description

The Luvisa dress is made of a cotton and linen blend twill in the Pannukakkua ja Mansikkahilloa pattern, which is printed in Helsinki. The sleeveless dress has a V-neck and a metal zipper in the back seam. There are pockets in the side seams and pleats at the waist in the front and back. The bodice of the dress is lined. The dress has a slim fit top and a flared hem.


Maija Isola drew inspiration for her work from folk art and modern visual art alike, from nature and her countless trips around the world. The Pannukakkua ja mansikkahilloa (pancakes and strawberry jam) print is a captivating combination of ornamental and jewelry-like details. The name of the print derives from a Finnish dish Maija used to often make, to everyone’s liking, in the 1960s.
